"Are you in there tiny fetus?
In nine months will you come greet us?
I will buy you some Adidas.."
So here it is...my first pregnancy post! (I'm a little behind because I think I may actually be 15 weeks today). This little one was quite a surprise to us, and now that the inital shock is lifting I am getting very excited (with some anxiety mixed in) for this new chapter, cuz ready or not here it comes! Sidenote: Devin was ready from the moment he found out exercised no hesitation to start googling nursery ideas.
It is still an "it" as we have not had our official ultraound, however, it's been really nice because I/we have been able to take some "peeks" at the little one since I am an ultrasound student and need all the practice I can get. If we were to go off of pure instinct, I must say I have absolutely no inclination as to what I think the gender is... is that an early sign of bad parenting? This last week Devin keeps saying that he thinks it's a girl so if he's right we know at least one of us has some parental instincts.
Pregnancy hasn't been bad this far, besides the intial 2 months of "just not feeling good" before I actually took a pregnancy test, (because in my mind I didn't think pregnancy was a possibilty) as long as I eat EVERY two hours I'm good. Once I allow myself to get hungry, there's no turning back and bad things happen. My food of choice is sandwiches - egg sandwich for breakfast, Jimmy John's for lunch, Subway for dinner, and PBJ as a snack inbetween. I'm Joey Tribiani!
Still doing Crossfit, and it would be great if I'm able to do it up until my due date becasue that would mean that the pregnancy is moving along smoothly.
The best part of pregnancy so far was when Devin got to see the little one live for the first time, he rarely shows a lot of excitement, so when he does I treasure it.
This is the picture, along with an ultraound pic that looked like a gummi bear, that we used to break the news to the families.
